Playa del Ingles is located south of Gran Canaria and is one of the largest beaches in the Canary Islands.
The beach stretches over 6 miles from Playa Veril at San Agustin, Maspalomas, on the way to the other side. Part of the beach has also linked to the famous sand dunes in the desert far south of the island. The waterfront is the site of Gran Canaria which attracts many nationalities, more than anything else on the island.
The town of Playa de Ingles is well visited by Scandinavians every year. The area can seem a little confusing if you come here for the first time, but is centered around various shopping centers. The first one comes from San Agustin called Parque Tropical and then follows Plaza, Kashba and Metro. In the last tree centers it is full speed every night 365 days a year. Yumbo is the shopping center during the day and Gay Centre in the evening and nighttime.Cita center is probably the best shopping center in Playa del Ingles, and here the emphasis on tourists from Germany.
The tourist town is well visited by tourists from all over Europe, but is especially a favorite destination for travelers from Holland, Gernany, England, Finland, Sweden and Norway.
